Vehicle Description Selling my 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible.
400 V8 3 speed automatic.
Numbers matching with all original drive train.
Power tilt steering, brakes and top.
Hot heat and Ice-cold original Frigidaire Air Conditioning! I won't go on and on about how Beautiful this original, numbers matching classic is.
The photos speak for themselves and even though the photos are great the car is prettier in person!.
I bought this from a classic car dealer in northern Wisconsin this past summer 2020 and believe I am the third owner including the dealer who had it for only a few weeks.
I highly recommend watching the video that will explain how the car was when I picked it up and before I took it back to Cleveland.
Once I had it home I made some upgrades:
New Edelbrock Intake and 650 cfm 4 barrel carb with open chrome air cleaner.
Wires, cap, rotor, plugs, Got rid of points and installed an electronic ignition and coil.
Edelbrock Chrome Valve covers, lower dash mounted triple gauges for oil pressure, temperature and charging voltage.
New front brakes and rotors, new rear brakes and wheel cylinders.
Brand new windshield (original had two tiny stone chips in it) While windshield was out had lower dash painted as it was beginning to fade a bit where bottom of windshield meets it.
Installed all new Gabriel shocks.
I bought new front and rear coil springs though it does not need them.
They were nearly impossible to find! Included with car.
Installed aluminized Dual exhaust with Flowmaster 400 series mufflers.
A set of rear chrome tips would finish that off nicely! Now this car sounds as amazing as it looks! Not to mention the upgrades have added a bit more horse power with nice giddy up and go! The electric trunk lid release now works.
The front footwell courtesy lights now work also.
Instrument cluster lighting works and dims with headlight switch as shown in photos.
The clock does not work, needs new electric motor.
The paint chip on the nose mentioned in the video has been repaired.
It's not Perfect but was filled, painted and looks ten times better! The top windshield stainless trim had several dings and dents in it so I installed a new one.
I installed a Grant wooden steering wheel and yes horn works.
The original wheel is included and is in excellent condition.
I bought a new set of of exhaust manifold downpipes, it did not need them when the dual exhaust was installed however I am including them with car as well as the original intake and carb which are still both perfect by the way.
Flushed, filled cooling system, added new thermostat.
Flushed and filled Transmission, changed filter and pick-up.
New motor oil and filter.
Car is completely serviced and ready for cruising! I disconnected the AM Radio but left installed.
FM tuner eliminated as it did not work.
There is a Complete Brand new Retro Sound High end, period correct, four speaker sound system with USB, Blue Tooth and serious Satellite radio included with the car which includes front kick panel replacements designed with speaker inserts, sound deadening insulation, speakers, grilles and all hardware and wiring needed to install.
The rear interior panels at both sides of rear seat already have speaker cut-outs behind the vinyl upholstery covering them which is very convenient with regard to installing rear speakers! The car also includes the 5 original Pontiac rally style rims with new white-wall tires on them! One of which is the spare in the trunk.
Many documents are included with the car, like build sheets window sticker, etc.
The framed poster in the photos displaying history of the car , copy of original window sticker etc.
Is included.
People seemed to like to see that displayed when we took it to a few car shows.
The young lady modeling with the car happens to be our daughter in case anyone cares.
LOL Please give me a call or shoot me a text if you have any questions about or are interested in making a serious offer for the car.
Only serious inquiries though, please as I don't have time for clowns wasting my time! Please stay safe, God bless and thanks for looking!.
