With 5 strategic distribution centers, and 500 employee associates across North America, Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions stocks 50,000 part numbers to supply our customers with all of their fastener, chemical, welding, and other industrial MRO and OEM parts needs. We are seeking a motivated Forecasting and Demand Analyst to perform the duties necessary to make sure we have correct stocking levels and plan for future customer needs.

At Applied, the Forecasting and Demand Analyst has immediate impact on our Distribution Center s performance and in customer satisfaction. You ll join a tight-knit team serving multiple service centers, internal associates, and loyal, long-term customers.

Overview of
Responsibilities:

Perform daily operations of department including maintaining relationships with carriers and third party providers, internal and external customers, reporting, cost control and execution of logistics strategy to meet / exceed department and company standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop forecasting models for existing products balancing service and inventory.
  • Analyze and develop standard reports related to SAP data consistency.
  • Work closely with IT on SAP and BI developments and enhancements.
  • Determine appropriate inventory levels on all products in each DC to achieve inventory targets.
  • Support the supplier evaluation process through statistical analysis. Prepare and analyze reports to determine requirements for continuous improvement of inventory turns, suppliers' delivery performance, and customer service levels.
  • Drive all DC s with inventory management projects that fulfill customer service requirements and fill rate targets while maximizing inventory returns.
  • Provide Product Managers and procurement data to assist in vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Active involvement in the Company s Lean processes as evidenced by continuous improvement of processes directed toward reducing costs, improving cycle time, increasing sales / gross profit, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive the sales and operations planning process to achieve inventory and fill rate targets.
  • Work closely with the product management team to eliminate obsolete product ,support overall reduction of E&O through lifecycle management, and analyze product promotions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or Equvilent Work Experience
  • 1
    years' proven logistics and/or supuply chain experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Basic statistics knowledge
  • Ability to effectively relate to and communicate with people at all levels of the organization as well as external customers, vendors
  • Strong systems and analytical skills including gathering facts, figures and concepts into a concise management summary with recommendations and action plans
  • Ability to execute action plans, with success, as an individual or as a leader in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including grammar, in English
  • Self-motivated; proactive. Ability to multitask, organize, challenge the status quo
  • Proficiency in SAP, preferred
