Key Responsibilities Conceptualize, and plan projects with mentorship of the team leader. Analyze and interpret experimental results for the development of new and improved Powder product platforms. Work closely with regional labs to understand their needs and how to incorporate these needs into new product platforms. Drive technology transfer to accelerate localization and customization in all regions. If not proficient, under the mentorship of regional lab development chemists who are bonding experts, become skilled in metallic bonding from both an equipment and pigment/formulating perspective. Knowledge of chemistry/coatings technology and scientific test methods. Work toward technical landmarks and deliver results against bold timelines. Coordinate related activities including synthesis, regulatory evaluation and application. Use project results to develop robust products that can be launched efficiently at key customers. Assist in launch activities as required. Maintain and communicate results through written and verbal summaries, coatings reports, test drill presentations and gate review updates. Work safely, following all lab procedures and maintenance of high safety standards. Train new associates in daily activities and provide supervision and mentoring for designated professional and supporting personnel such as other lab technicians and chemists. Qualifications BS/5
or MS/3
degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering is required. Relevant work experience in powder coatings. Specialized in powder effect pigments such as metallic bonding, or pigment formulation is highly desired. Experience with experimental design (DOE) and complex problem solving. Excellent cross-cultural communication and a strong desire to work in a dynamic global environment. Passion for research with a desire to join a company that provides an opportunity for growth.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
