We are seeking an experience Administrative Behavioral Specialist to add to our growing team at our childcare and preschool center located in Strongsville, Ohio.
As an Administrative Behavioral Specialist, you work as a part of the school administrative team to develop and implement behavioral/academic/ medical supports for students.
Your responsibilities will include working directly with students throughout the day to guide and support their ability to stay in the classroom.
When not working with students, you will be working to complete administrative tasks that focus on students behavioral and medical needs in the building.
We offer competitive pay ranging from $18.
00 to $23.

ResponsibilitiesProvide intervention and support for students within and outside of the classroom.
Help facilitate spaces for students to self-regulate such as:
reset rooms/calming corners.
Coordinate and provide assessments (ASQ's and AAC tests) and maintain student files regarding assessment and intervention.
Support teachers with students by assisting in identifying student needs, developing intervention plans, and implementing and teaching appropriate interventions.
Coordinate school's effort with character education.
Have a working knowledge of the Response to Intervention (RTI) process.
Ability to effectively and excellently disseminate information, both orally and in writing to administration, teachers and parents.
Ability to effectively work with students with an approach that applies human relation skills, and with emphasis on conflict resolution and mediation.
Ability to perform applicable computer applications.
Assist in giving medications to students throughout the day.
Work on the Care Plans Documentation for the building when not working directly with Students.
RequirementsMinimum of a high school diploma/GED.
Possession of a CDA, AA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus, but not required for this positionAt least one year of child care experience working in a licensed ODJFS child care program.
Experience teaching and working with children between the ages of 5 - 12 years of age.
Current physical and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check.
Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices school age children.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff.
Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families.
Must be dependable and maintain a good work record as to punctuality and daily attendance.
Applicants must possess current legal authorization to work in the United States.
Work Environment & Physical DemandsAbility to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on child-sized furniture or on the floor for extended periods.
Ability to repetitively lift and move children, with a weight capacity of up to 50lbs.
Comfort working in a moderate to noisy environment.
Preparedness to assist children in emergency situations.
Physical ability to stay within arm's reach of children, ensuring proximity and safety.
Participation in safety drills, adhering to guidelines including relocating children, which may involve moving cribs with multiple children to designated safe areas.
Endurance to withstand varying outdoor conditions and temperatures for prolonged durations throughout all seasons.
