We are looking for the BEST Drafters & Designers in the industry to help us grow our business at Sly in Strongsville.
We are looking for a designer who likes a challenge and is willing to learn and adapt.

Monday through Friday, 8 a.

to 5 p.

What you'll doParticipate in Design Reviews with Project Engineers to examine customers specifications.
Learn the company's extensive drafting tools and process.
Utilize Autodesk Inventor Ilogic configurator to create precise and complex 3D models.
Create 2D drawings for fabrication.
Devise custom 3D modeled components to address issues within design as needed.
Provide accurate and timely equipment of approval drawings.
Perform and review necessary engineering calculations as required per product line.
Work with Regional Sales Managers, Project Engineers, Designers/Drafters, and Production on application challenges for custom designs.
Support Production Engineering Manager in ensuring that department goals are achieved.
Strive to learn and improve Sly product lines.
Develop and improve manufacturing knowledge base.
Provide production shop with support as needed.
RequirementsAssociate degree in fields related to manufacturing, Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering.
Relative work experience will also be considered.
Ability to multitask, solve problems, organize and prioritize cross-functional projects.
Strong mathematical, analytical and execution skills.

years of 3D modeling experience (Inventor or Solidworks).
1
year of 2D drawing experience (AutoCAD or Revit).
Excellent visualization and communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals.
Must be familiar with typical metal fabrication methods and materials.
Qualifications that are a plusExperience with project management of multiple orders.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including ASME welding standards, metal forming, and structural systems.
Familiarity with PDM service and FEA analysis software.
GD&T experience.
Prior experience in Air Pollution equipment.
Design for manufacturing experience.
